Biosite is the UK market leader in biometric access control and workforce management technology for construction.

The two software platforms now integrate via secure API connection, to bring together operative and site data for Biosite and Work Wallet customers. Integration of the two systems provides a powerful combination of pre-site and on-site features so construction companies can better support and manage health and safety, efficiency and compliance on site using digital tools. Real-time data is easily accessible via a mobile app or desktop software, to improve visibility and traceability – at both site and group level.

Before entering a site, operatives and subcontractors pre-enrol using Biosite’s Online Induction system. Key information, such as their qualifications and credentials, can be checked and verified in advance, which saves valuable time on site. This information is linked to Biosite biometric access control systems at site entry and exit points, to integrate operative access permissions and history with their profile and approval status. This helps monitor time and attendance, competency, subcontractor usage levels and the ratio of critical site personnel on site, such as fire marshals and first aiders.

On site, Work Wallet software supports effective health and safety management, with focused software modules available on incident reporting, safety briefings and toolbox talks, Permit to Work checks, PPE management and site audits and inspections. The safety card feature on both systems now integrates meaning operatives assigned a red or yellow card (for example if their qualifications have expired) on either system will be flagged and their access permissions to site will be updated and restricted if need be.
