Going Digital with Contractor Management
A survey of EHS professional in the last 6 months when asked about Contractor Management 85% said it was the biggest concern for them.
Ironically here at work Wallet we have noticed that 1 in 3 of our new enquiries are asking about contractor management and how it can solve their site bottlenecks and issues.
So why is it a hot discussion in 2024.?
Maybe its because we now have a fluid workforce on worksites where over 75% of the workforce is contracted onto the job. So you can see why problems like:
Who is on site, who has left site?
Have they been inducted, have they read the safety briefing, do they need a permit to work?
So who then has to unpick all this and physically show the inductions, complete the permits and conduct F2F meetings?
Its the site managers, which then has a knock on effect on productivity and safety culture (them and us).
Its all about safety compliance on of the whole workforce
In the modern worksite landscape, effective contractor management is crucial for operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and maintaining compliance.
Streamlining contractor management processes through efficient strategies not only ensures smooth project execution but also fosters stronger relationships with contractors.
It also reduces costs such as paper usage which knocks into ESG obligations. Manpower and resources which process people and information onsite are reduced significantly.
